Seamed delivers comprehensive medical supplies and equipment on board. Our kits are organised by therapeutic category and assembled for ease of use. Kit familiarisation for owners, captains, and all crew members responsible for the kit, is provided to ensure preparedness for use in emergency situations. We offer inventory management support to ensure your stocks are replenished and fit for use at all times. Seamed offers further services, including specialised services and training.
Medical Chest Contents & Certification In line with the Merchant shipping (maritime labour convention) Rules S.L.234.51 we build medical chests for on board various vessels. While we focus on the Maltese flagged vessels, please contact us directly if your vessel is registered under any other flag, and we can assist you accordingly. With our experience in certification procedures, we can subsequently issue and provide the mandatory national and international certification. Change of Flag We can assist you with updating your medical cabinet on board when your vessel is changing flag, in line with flag state legislation. Wherever possible, we will use as much of the existing medicines and medical supplies on board for cost efficiency. Pharmaceuticals We supply and replenish all pharmaceuticals your vessel needs to have on-board as per its flag and registration category. Medical Gases Seamed supplies you with gases used in medical procedures, as required on board. We supply medical oxygen tanks, and are able to refill tanks. We perform hydrostatic pressure tests aligned with best practice. All ancillary breathing accessories, such as masks, and tubing can also be supplied. Surgical and Medical disposables We are able to supply surgical supplies, first aid kits, and other medical equipment and consumables. First aid Kits Seamed provides vessels with first aid kits, including eye wash stations, sealed lifeboat kits and other first aid kits as required. We can build kits to requested specification. Inventory set up Seamed supplies you with inventory management for your medicine chest on board. We are able to issue annual inventory statements, indicating the following years’ replenishment requirements, and notifying of certificate renewal needs. We are able to replenish and recertify upon request. Provision of drug and alcohol test kits Seamed provides drug and alcohol test kits, and on board drug and alcohol testing upon request. Medical publications We are able to supply you with the latest medical books, as required at law. Crew Training needs Medical Care and Medical First Aid training are provided either on board or at a designated school. IMDG/MFAG ship medical chest regulation Ships carrying dangerous goods can be provided with the appropriate medical supplies according to the IMDG/MFAG code for use in potential accidents involving dangerous goods.
